		<description>It&#039;s not just your toothbrush -- a lot of consumer goods now are very much short-term fixes that work for a year and bust, to end up in the landfill.  I think the drive for price competitiveness has eroded quality for a majority of design cycles in the past few decades.  Sourcing from China is contributing to the phenomenon.  Planned obsolescence is another issue for those companies that want repeat business (like Crest, I&#039;d say).  So how do we get back to 1950&#039;s concepts of built-to-last?</description>

		<description>Great insight. Increase in the number of cars will also impact on the environment too. Hope there is more usage of public transport, alternative energy and change of our behavior.</description>
